The staff of Candlewood Gentle Dental is happily commemorating their first year in New Fairfield. In honor of the occasion, the office will open its doors to the public, both patients and non-patients, on Wednesday, August 1. Visitors will be offered a tour and the chance to meet the dentists.
A full-service office for everyone in the family, Candlewood Gentle Dental is headed by the husband and wife team, Dr. Ken SanGiacomo and Dr. Joann Perrotta. The two chose to open the New Fairfield office last year after having run a successful practice in Bethel for 25 years. (Not affiliated with Gental Dental chain of offices)
To keep both offices running smoothly, the dentists alternate between the locations. The two admit that there are challenges to maintaining two offices, saying “Change is difficult for everyone,” but the rewards have outweighed the logistical demands. Their biggest takeaway from the first year in New Fairfield has been that, “Many of the patients have been warm and welcoming. Our New Fairfield location has given us the opportunity to meet and get to know so many wonderful families…”
In addition to basic dental services, San-Giacomo and Perrotta are constantly leveling up to offer cutting-edge treatment options for their patients.
Their practice offers, “Laser whitening- teeth bleaching in 60 minutes, which yields great instantaneous results.” They went on to say that they “take digital impressions and make CEREC crowns that can be made and placed in one visit. We also place implants and make implant crowns.” In addition, they have 3D imaging, offer service to help people suffering with sleep apnea, and more….
