Meet the Doctors
Ken SanGiacomo, DMD, Joann M. Perrotta, DMD, and the team at Bethel Gentle Dental are pleased to be able to offer beautiful smiles to their neighbors in Bethel and the surrounding communities. Dr. San Giacomo earned his undergraduate degree at Trinity College, while Dr. Perrotta obtained hers at St. John’s University. Both went on to receive their dental degrees at the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine and then served one-year general practice residencies at the University of Rochester. They maintain professional memberships in the American Dental Association, Connecticut State Dental Association, and Greater Danbury Dental Society. Ongoing postgraduate education is important to Drs. San Giacomo and Perrotta. They undergo many, many hours of training and coursework each year, so that they are always prepared to provide their patients with the best results in the least invasive manner with a high emphasis on comfort. They have recent training in such topics as rotary endodontics (root canal therapy), CEREC™ one-visit crowns, nutrition, and CPR. Additional training in laser applications allows them to provide laser whitening, treatment of oral lesions with lasers, and noninvasive treatment of periodontal (gum) disease. Their commitment to lifelong education ensures the highest level of care, both today and tomorrow. Dr. Perrotta has lectured on TMJ treatment topics at New Milford Hospital, while Dr. SanGiacomo serves as a representative to the Connecticut State Dental Association House of Delegates. They are the local school dentists, sponsor many town and school events, and work closely with NJROTC on a program they developed called Operation Sweet Tooth. They have three beautiful children, and in their spare time, they enjoy spending time with their family, skiing, traveling, swimming, and cooking.
